The future of snowmobiling in Parry Sound District 10 is in serious jeopardy — and your voice is needed!
Snowmobiling has long been a cornerstone of winter recreation and economic activity in our region. But as trail access, land use, enforcement, and environmental factors evolve, so must our approach to ensuring this vital part of our culture and economy continues to thrive.
18% of our trails have already been closed, and the number of groomers has been reduced from 11 to just 7. Without immediate action, many areas — including the Town of Parry Sound — will be completely cut off from the trail system, threatening both winter recreation and causing serious impact to the local economy.
We invite you to attend a Public Forum: Saving the Future of Snowmobiling in the Parry Sound District, where municipal representatives, officials from the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs (OFSC), leaders of District 10 snowmobile clubs, political dignitaries, and local businesses and organizations will discuss the sustainability of snowmobiling in District 10, the changes needed to protect our trail system, and the collaborative steps required to secure a strong future for riders, businesses, and communities alike.
