This year our series is being sponsored by Barastoc, so the winner of each round will receive a voucher for 6 bags of horse feed, 2nd place receives a voucher for 4 bags of horse feed and 3rd place receives a voucher for 2 bags of horse feed.
Our ongoing sponsor is Finch Farm, who are also sponsored by Barastoc, so a saddlecloth will also go to the winner of each round.
Guidelines:
If a rider has more than one horse in the class, the first horse they ride is their points scoring round.
Rider with the highest points from 6 rounds will be awarded the overall winner.
Class heights in the first round will be approx. 1.10m, heights will be stated on event schedules.
Participants must meet the criteria of the EA National Amateur Rules (see below Article 255.1)
The first 6 places in each competition will gain points.
To gain maximum points there must be a minimum of 10 riders in the class.
Points allocated 1st = 11 points, 2nd= 9 points, 3rd= 8 points, 4th =7 points, 5th =6 points, 6th =5 points
If less than 10 riders in the class, points will be allocated as per example: 6 riders is 11 minus 4 therefore:1st = 7, 2nd =5, 3rd=4 4th=3,5th =2, 6th=1 ; only 3 riders therefore 11 minus 7 1st= 4, 2nd=2, 3rd=1
If there is an equality of points at the end of the series the rider with the most consistent high placings throughout the series will become the series winner.
To be eligible to compete in the Amateur series, you must be a current financial member of Equestrian Queensland.
