Keegi hiljuti siit on käinud.
Kaduva silueti läige peatub veel su silmanurgas, midagi on muutumas. Tühi tool, portree,
kingapaar – tuttav, mis nüüd on võõraks jäänud. Kogetud hetk, mille toimumise aega ega
paika ei suuda meenutada.
Inessa Saaritsa ja Victoria Björki näitusel segunevad mälestused unega ja ajastud sulavad ühte. Näituseruumi on laiali pillutud killukesi mälupiltidest ja unenägudest – nende päritolu
on aga ununenud. Näituse fragmendid vormib kokku fotode eeskujul ehitatud jändrikmööbel. Saja-aastastel piltidel poseerivad Saaritsa esivanemad enda ehitatud mööbliga.
Victoria Björk liigub oma loomingus habraste tasakaalude vahel: aeg ja loodus, hool ja häving, mälu ja unenägu. Skulptuuri, luule ja performatiivsete vormidega töötades peatab ja
jäädvustab ta kaduvaid hetkeid. Björk on visuaalkunstnik Reykjavíkist, Islandilt, kes elab ja töötab praegu Hamburgis, Saksamaal.
Inessa Saarits otsib oma praktikas ühisosi kunsti ja bioloogia vahel. Ta huvitub naturaalsetest ja ajas muutuvatest materjalidest nagu turvas, tarretis ja seened ning uurib end ümbritsevat maailma läbi mikroskoobi. Saarits üritab luua sildu enda ja oma esivanemate maailma vahel, kogudes vanu fotosid ja käies läbi oma sugulaste vihikuid, kritseldusi ja pisiesemeid. Saarits on lõpetanud Eesti Kunstiakadeemia installatsiooni- ja skulptuurieriala ning on täiendanud end Viini Kunstiakadeemias.

Enne näituse “Mälupete” avamist avaneb Pärnu Linnagaleriis Raekojas (Uus tn 4) kell 16.00 Viive Noore isikunäitus “ARS AMATORIA – ARS MORIENDI’’ ning kell 17.30 Pärnu Uue Kunsti Muuseumis (Rüütli 40a) kaks uut näitust: Joonistuste näitus “Tungivast sisemisest vajadusest”(kuraator Lembe Ruben) ja Jose Luis Ledesma (Argentiina) fotonäitus “PÕHIMÕTTELISELT”.

Recently someone has passed by here.
The sheen of a transient silhouette lingers in the corner of your eye, leaving the sensation of an unfolding. An empty chair, a portrait, a pair of shoes, fragments and estranged familiarities – moments you’ve seen before but can't recall the time or place.
In the exhibition by Inessa Saarits and Victoria Björk, memories merge with dreams and eras blend into one another. Pieces of recollections and dreams are scattered throughout the
exhibition space – their origin, however, has been forgotten. The fragments are bound together by furniture constructed after century-old photographs, in which Saarits’s ancestors
pose with their self-made branch furniture.
Victoria Björk is a visual artist from Reykjavík, Iceland, currently based in Hamburg, Germany. In her practice, Victoria navigates the fragile equilibrium of time and nature, nurture and destruction, memory and dream. Working with sculpture, poetry, and performance, she constructs symbolic fragments that evoke suspended narratives where the ephemeral is held, if only briefly.
Inessa Saarits seeks in her practice connections between art and biology. She is interested in materials that change over time – such as peat, jelly, and fungi, and explores the world through a microscope. Saarits attempts to build bridges between herself and the world of her ancestors, collecting old photographs and delving into her relatives’ notebooks, scribbles, and small objects. She graduated from the Estonian Academy of Arts with a degree in Installation and Sculpture and has furthered her studies at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna.

Before the opening of the exhibition “Off key”, Pärnu City Gallery at the Town Hall (Uus 4) will host the opening of Viive Noor’s solo exhibition “ARS AMATORIA – ARS MORIENDI” at 4:00 PM, followed by two new exhibition openings at the Museum of New Art (Rüütli 40a) at 5:30 PM.
