Please join the Social Work Department in the Ian Potter Auditorium, for the 2025 Len Tierney Memorial Lecture and Networking Event. This event promises to be a stimulating celebration of Len's enduring legacy of social work practice and academic leadership.
The event will commence with a networking opportunity at 5 PM where you'll have the opportunity to reconnect with colleagues, social work department staff, students and partners over light refreshments and allow us to express our gratitude for your support.
Following this, we shall transition to the main programme at 6.15 PM, featuring thought-provoking addresses on child, youth, and family welfare.
We are delighted to announce our keynote speakers: Dr Robyn Miller AM, CEO of MacKillop Family Services, and Dr Gemma McKibbin, Senior Research Fellow from the University of Melbourne. Their expertise and insights promise to enlighten and inspire, focusing on the Power to Kids professional learning programme Power To Kids | MacKillop Institute
In addition, the recipients of the Len Tierney Social Work Travelling Award will share their global experiences, offering unique perspectives that are sure to broaden our collective understanding of social work practice worldwide.
This gathering is an excellent opportunity to reconnect with your peers, reinvigorate your passion for social work, and reaffirm our shared commitment to fostering a more equitable society.
