Used in medieval Europe especially in Celtic traditions, the besom has a rich history rooted in folklore and myth. But today, besoms are also used in modern spiritual practices as symbols of protection, purification, and the sweeping away of negative energies. Plus, they make great Halloween or Samhain decorations!
I’ll walk you through the process of constructing your own broom using materials gathered from nature. From selecting the right branches to binding and decorating your besom, you’ll learn all the essential steps to create a truly enchanting tool.
All materials will be provided but if you have a special trinket, herb or flower feel free to bring them.
Light refreshments will be provided.
Class will cost $35 per person and limited spots are available.
