Theme: “Keep Ya Head Up – Motivation to Youth to Elevate”

Join us for the Hood Summit Picnic—a day of community, culture, and healing designed to uplift and inspire. This year’s theme, “Keep Ya Head Up,” is a direct message to our youth: your story doesn’t end with struggle—your future is built on strength.

Rooted in the realities of Hood-Based Trauma (HBT), this event creates a space where families and young people can gather to heal, grow, and rise—together. It’s more than a picnic. It’s a movement to motivate our youth to elevate beyond survival and step into purpose.

• 🎧 Live DJs, hip-hop performances & spoken word
• 🍴 Cultural and vegan food vendors
• 🎤 Hood Summit panels on youth, fatherhood, trauma & transformation
• 🎨 Youth art, games, and creative spaces
• 🧠 Mental health and wellness booths
• 🛍️ Community resource fair and small biz marketplace
• 💬 Open mic, healing circles, and giveaways

All funds raised will go toward youth scholarships for:

• 🧭 Rewire Academy: An 8-week healing and purpose discovery course
• 🎤 Check the Rhyme Academy: A hip-hop and neuromusicology program that teaches how music shapes mindset, identity, and behavior
