T.S. Harris + Shawna Moore: By the Water, Of the Water

Gallery MAR invites you to experience "By the Water, Of the Water", a dual exhibition celebrating the work of T.S. Harris and Shawna Moore: two artists whose practices are deeply inspired by the presence, memory, and movement of water.

T.S. Harris captures nostalgic summer scenes, evoking the sun-soaked leisure of coastal life through bold color, vintage silhouettes, and timeless moments by the pool or ocean. Her paintings distill fleeting memories into something eternal, luminous and familiar, like the warmth of a July afternoon.

Shawna Moore’s encaustic works, by contrast, dive into the depths of abstraction. Layered with beeswax, pigment, and resin, her paintings explore water as an emotional and elemental force: rhythmic, meditative, and infinite. The resulting surfaces are immersive and tactile, inviting you to linger and look closer.
