About the event

Edible Mushroom Log Workshop

Back by popular demand: McLaughlin Garden's Edible Mushroom Log Workshop! Join Horticulturist and fungi enthusiast, Corey Kotfila, as you learn to grow your very own edible mushrooms. In this hands-on workshop, each participant will inoculate and take home two red oak logs, which will produce delicious shiitake (Lentinula edodes) and chestnut (Pholiota adiposa) mushrooms in 6 months - 1 year.

Bring your own handheld drill and an 8.5mm or 11/32" bit if you can, but we will provide drills for anyone who does not have one.

Each spot in the workshop is $35. Space is limited.
