Nestled in the hills beside the Lotus Yoga Centre rests a sacred Meditation Sanctuary
a place where many come to reconnect, find inner stillness, and bathe in peace.
Built in 1999, this Sanctuary serves as the spiritual heart of the Centre’s activities.
The location itself was chosen with great care, resting at the meeting point of powerful ley lines, its energy deeply aligned with Kapiti Island and the Maungakotukutuku ranges to the east.
The octagon-shaped structure is crafted from natural timbers, crowned with a glass pyramid roof that amplifies and channels healing energies. Around its frame, tinted windows radiate the seven colours of the rainbow—each one carrying a unique healing ray. On a bright day, the play of colours is nothing short of spectacular, filling the space with a living rainbow of light.
