We’re excited to hold this year’s AGM alongside the celebration of our brand-new awning and outdoor area. Join us for the AGM gathering and enjoy refreshments on our new deck afterwards — a great chance to catch up with neighbours and enjoy our growing community space.
As always, members are welcome to bring their own drinks for themselves and their guests. Our relaxed BYO approach keeps the club affordable and social, and it’s one of the things that makes the Otaihanga Boating Club such a unique local gem.
The AGM will cover:
Approval of last years AGM along with updates from the past year
Election of committee members
Member ideas, feedback, and suggestions
Presentation of the 2025 Club Constitution, appendices and explanation of required changes for members to vote on (attached at the bottom of this email).
We’re also gathering feedback on potential new initiatives, including the installation of a coffee machine for member use — both for enjoyment and as a possible small income stream for the club. Your ideas matter, and all suggestions will be considered by the committee.
Running a community club takes commitment, from maintenance and insurance to events and facilities, and your support helps keep this space thriving.
