Step into the golden age of radio in this engaging and interactive class! Together, we’ll explore the magic of radio plays—where sound effects, voice acting, and storytelling come alive without a single visual cue. Participants will learn about the history of radio drama, select a piece to explore, and then dive into the world of voice and Foley (sound effects) artistry to create vivid characters and emotions culminating in a public performance.
Foley art and music will be provided by Breona Conrad and participants will have the opportunity to opt in to being a part of this development of the show.
Class schedule will be as follows:
12-12:30pm: participants will work in a 30-minute acting class dedicated specifically to exploring acting techniques and character development.
12:30-2:30pm: participants will focus on the script being studied. All participants will be assigned a role in our show which will culminate in a public performance.
No prior experience is needed—just bring your creativity, enthusiasm, and a love for storytelling. Let’s make some noise and have fun!
