So what is a Rogaine? 🏃📝⏱️
Rogaining is a modern-day orienteering, involving both route planning and navigation between checkpoints using a map and instructions.
Our Rogaine teams will consist of 2 people, where you choose which checkpoints to visit within a time limit with the intent of maximizing their score.
Where will the Rogaine be set up? 🎪
The ‘headquarters’ for a Rogaine is called a “Hash House”. Justin is the Hash House Harrier, your Technical Official and Timekeeper for the event. Yes, he will accept bribes LOL 🍪
Coach Alli will be the Hash House Hasher and will be roaming the course on her mountain bike, and of course, will accept bribes 💐
All competitors are known as Hash House ‘Hares’ or ‘Hounds’.
The Hash House will be set up at the Esplanade South Park (South side of the bridge) You will all see the Multisport Gold tent set up.
What to bring. 👟
For the Hash House Hares & Hounds participating, all you need to bring is clothes to run around in 😊 (Perhaps a change of clothes for afterwards!)
All equipment for the Rogaine will be supplied.
There will be wraps & sandwiches provided 🌯🥪☕
Please feel free to BYO additional food ie BBQ or personal preferences for breakfast (fruit etc)
Chairs, rugs, etc would also be a good idea.
What time will the Rogaine start? 🕡⏰
Team allocation will be drawn at 6.30am for a 7.00am start. This will give us time for Rules and questions before we start.
The Hash House will be open as long as we are all having fun, laughter and great times
How Much will it Cost?
To cover the cost of Trophies & food, $25 per adult
We will also be doing our Secret Santa. As usual, please bring a gift to the value of $15 with NO NAME. The Letter this year will be®️
