PILLOW GARDEN
a solo exhibition by Hanna Shim

Saturday, 17 May, proceedings will commence at 11am

Pillow Garden is an immersive installation of oversized plant-inspired soft sculptures that transform the gallery into a sensory haven.

Beyond visuals, the installation weaves fragrances, sounds, and sentiments from Shim’s Korean heritage into the visitor’s experience.

By juxtaposing the historical neglect of female textile artists with its transformative potential, Pillow Garden becomes a symbolic realm where marginalised perspectives thrive. This exhibit invites viewers to explore the intersection of art and sensory perception, fostering a unique and profound engagement with space, form, and identity.
