Palos Verdes Field Trip

Join me for a casual afternoon exploring the coastline of Palos Verdes in search of crystals and other ocean oddities!

What to expect:

• Exploring the coastline of Palos Verdes
• Some hiking and small bouldering required
• Looking for evidence of Baryte and Quartz crystals
• Exploring tide pools
• Calm relaxing day at the beach
• Extracting these crystals does require some strenuous labor. Alternatively root beer agate can usually be found along the beach with little effort

What to bring:

• Beach gear - whatever helps you enjoy a day at the beach
• Sunscreen and protective attire
• Food - Snacks and a lunch
• Plenty of drinking water
• Collection gear: sturdy tote or backpack, newspaper or toilet paper to wrap minerals, geology pick or small hammer/mallet, chisels and/or flat head screwdriver, gardeing or hardware gloves, old toothbrush, and a spray bottle of water

Refund Policy:

Full refund up to 1 week prior to the event.

Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. You are responible for your safety and that of your party. All participants are required to sign a waiver.

On-site location/ meet up point will be emailed to attendees prior to event date.
