This June, the Southwest Community Concert Band (SWCCB) invites budding musicians to embark on a week-long musical journey at its much-anticipated annual Summer Band Camp. Running from Monday through Friday, June 9–13, 2025, this community event promises education, creativity, and camaraderie for young musicians.
Who Can Join? The camp welcomes junior high and middle school students, ranging from incoming sixth graders to incoming freshmen, with at least one full year of school band experience. With guidance from passionate and highly skilled Chicago-area music educators and performers, participants will refine their talents while fostering a love for music.

A signature camp t-shirt
Every morning begins at 8:30 AM at the Presbyterian Church in Orland Park, located at 13401 Wolf Road, and concludes at 3:00 PM. While campers are asked to bring their own lunch Monday through Thursday, the week ends on a festive note with a pizza lunch provided on Friday.
The Camp Finale Concert The crescendo of the camp arrives on Friday evening, June 13, with the Camp Finale Concert at 7:00 PM—a chance for participants to showcase their growth and achievements for friends and family.
