ABOUT THE ARTISTS

ARTE Sextet, led by Florida-based bandoneonist and composer Alex Roitman, brings together world-class musicians from around the globe to celebrate the depth and beauty of Argentine tango. Violinists Natalia Maiden and Keiko Cadby bring classical virtuosity and international tango experience, while Yukie Kawanami, a bandoneonist from Japan and winner of the Che Bandoneon Competition, and pianist Crystie Shum, known for her dynamic festival performances, add rhythmic depth and lyrical expression. The ensemble is joined by Argentine singer Claudio Ortega, whose velvety voice and heartfelt interpretations have captivated audiences across the U.S. Together, they blend tradition with personal artistry to deliver unforgettable live performances.

DJ & HOST

Karn, is the founder of Feeling Flow, an interdisciplinary art school rooted in social dance, mindfulness, and artistic expression. An engineer turned movement artist, Karn teaches Argentine Tango and Cross-Step Waltz with a focus on musicality, connection, and flow. His work blends Eastern philosophy with embodied learning, and his DJ sets—carefully curated for emotional arc and danceability—have earned praise from practica attendees for their richness and nuance.

PUERH TEA

Pu-erh tea is a unique fermented tea from Yunnan, China, known for its earthy flavor, smooth body, and remarkable health benefits—including aiding digestion, reducing cholesterol, and enhancing mental clarity. This particular Pu-erh comes directly from an authentic tea master in Yunnan, ensuring exceptional quality and traditional craftsmanship. Served in beautiful artisan tea ware, each cup becomes a mindful ritual. To complete the experience, enjoy complimentary empanadas and samosas—offering a delicious and nourishing accompaniment to this grounding tea ceremony.
