Shayn has not played for us for many years infact since we held the gigs at the cafe in Tokomaru..
He was a favourite there and played for us many times,he then decided to move up north and the only time we have seen him since is when he has played the Globe.
He is a true bluesman playing great guitar with some real blues vocals.If you have any interest in the blues this is one you should see.
This is also our last gig for the year so it would be great to finish with a bang.

Steadfastly supporting live blues in the Manawatu, The Bent Horseshoe hosts The Hurricane Blues (Freddy Limbert and Hurricane Shayn Wills), with special guest Rick Cranson on drums. Get ready for the best night of live blues this year or quite possibly any year. A long talked about collaboration between three of Aotearoa’s best blues players has finally come to fruition. These boys aren’t coming for a good time; they are bringing one with them!

The Hurricane Blues - Hurricane Shayn Wills and Freddy Limbert are two of the most experienced players in the country. Between them they have played support for; John Hammond Jnr, BB King, Albert King, Canned Heat, Robert Cray, Junior Wells, Duke Robillard, and The Amazing Rhythm Aces.
Wanting a raw and original sound, they’ve developed their own musical style, based on Blues, R&B and Rock’n’roll, and put together a dynamite show to go with it. Beyond genres, this music is about good times – and having fun!
Rick Cranson:
Rick Cranson is a mainstay of the Wellington and wider New Zealand music scene. You can catch him playing anything from straight ahead jazz, to tight synth pop, to soulful blues, to balls to the wall rock. Rick is currently the drummer in the Kiwi psychedelic rock group Little Bushman; synth groove-masters ‘KITA’; and well know blues band ‘Darren Watson’s Dangerous Experts’. Rick also works with ‘The Woods’ an original psychedelic jazz experience. You’ll see Rick performing regularly at venues such as The Rogue and Vagabond and Havana in Wellington.
