About the Workshop
This one-day LeanFarm Workshop is designed specifically for dairy and other farmers, combining the practical knowledge of farmers with the proven systems of Lean thinking. You’ll walk away with simple, effective tools you can apply straight away to make your farm more efficient, productive and profitable.
What is Lean?
Originating from Toyota NZ in the 1940s, Lean is a practical approach to continuous improvement. It helps eliminate waste, streamline processes, and focus your efforts on what truly adds value. The result? Smarter work, better results, and more time for what matters.
You’ll gain a strong, hands-on understanding of Lean tools and how to implement them on your farm to drive measurable improvements.
About the Facilitator
With a background as an engineer at Toyota and over 20 years' experience delivering Lean systems worldwide, Jana Hocken has helped hundreds of businesses and over 850 farmers across New Zealand, Australia, and Europe. After moving to her husband’s 1,000-head dairy farm in 2013, Jana saw how powerful Lean could be for farming. She founded The LeanFarm Project, and in 2019 published ‘The Lean Dairy Farm’ - a practical guide that every farmer globally can use.
