A Heartfelt Community Event of Love, Loss and Remembrance
Location: Sanctuary Lakes, Gunn
Time: Registration from 9:00am
Join us for Amber NT’s Annual Walk to Remember, a touching and inclusive event marking the beginning of Bereaved Parents Awareness Month. This walk was first created in 2010 by Taylah Peters, in memory of her brother Kaden, as a way to honour lost loved ones while bringing comfort and connection to grieving families.

The Walk to Remember is more than just a walk—it's a space to reflect, remember, and celebrate the lives of the children who live forever in our hearts. Open to parents, siblings, extended family, friends, and community supporters, the event is designed to be both meaningful and family friendly.
💜 Event Highlights
• Family Entertainment – Enjoy fun and inclusive activities, including circus fun for the kids.
• Bacon & Egg Breakfast – Complimentary breakfast available to start the morning together.
• Poem Reading & Bubble Release – A special tribute to our little ones, featuring a moment of reflection and remembrance.
• The Walk – A symbolic walk around the peaceful lakes, offering time to connect and reflect with others on a similar journey.
🙌 How to Join
No registration required in advance. Simply arrive at Sanctuary Lakes and head to the registration tent from 9:00am.
We kindly ask for a gold coin donation on the day to support our grief support programs and reflection events for Territorians.
