Born on Sunset Blvd and raised in a musically rich Mexican family, Oscar Jesus Bugarin picked up the guitar as a child and never looked back. Inspired by legends like Jimi Hendrix, B.B. King, and Stevie Ray Vaughan, his deep-rooted passion for the blues has shaped his raw, electrifying sound.

After serving nearly seven years in the U.S. Army—where his talent earned him a spot among the top finalists in the military’s Operation Rising Star competition—Oscar returned to his musical roots, co-founding Calling Cadence and releasing an all-analog album that paid tribute to the golden age of rock and blues.

Now fronting the Oscar Jesus Bugarin Blues Band, he’s on a mission to ignite a modern blues revival. With soul-stirring melodies, blistering guitar riffs, and a deep respect for the greats, Oscar is blazing a trail for the next generation of blues lovers.
