Discover the magic of sourdough in this in-depth, interactive baking workshop led by Maricela, owner and head baker of Dulce Vida Bakery. Whether you’re brand new to baking or looking to refine your sourdough skills, this hands-on class will walk you through the entire process. From nurturing the starter you are given to shaping a delicious loaf, this is a true hands on sourdough baking class.
Participants will gain a thorough understanding of the sourdough process from start to finish, including:
How to care for your own sourdough starter
How to properly weigh ingredients for bread baking
Different mixing, folding, and shaping techniques
Tips for baking the perfect loaf at home
Each attendee will assemble their own loaf during class and take it home, ready to bake and enjoy. Participants will also receive a jar of active sourdough starter and a printed recipe so you can continue baking at home.
All materials and tools will be provided.
We recommend wearing short sleeves and bringing an apron. Please refrain from wearing jewelry, especially rings or bracelets.
