About the event

Understanding Rat Lungworm Disease
This Saturday Education series on invasive species at Ainaloa Community Association will be an information session on rat lungworm disease. Learn more about the life cycle and biology of the rat lungworm parasite and measures you can take to reduce the risk of disease to you and your ʻohana. This session will include a special Q&A with the Department of Health.

Presenter: Franny Brewer is a graduate of UH HIlo and Chaminade University and has worked on invasive species issues in Hawaiʻi since 2006.
