Gong is one of the oldest sound healing instruments in the world. The sounds and vibrations of gong create deep relaxation and a state of meditation by altering brain waves from Beta to Theta & Delta states. Gong vibrates at the same frequency as our body’s own natural healing state, creating space for the body and mind to heal itself. It is said that all sounds of the Universe are within gong and that gong vibrates the primal sounds of the cosmos. Gong vibration works with the relationship between the pituitary and pineal gland, and your body’s magnetic field, and can open meridians and release blocks, stress, exhaustion, trauma and deep grief.
This experience is appropriate for ages 11+ of all experience levels, including those who have never experienced sound medicine before. Signa's sound baths integrate Tibetan bowls, harmonium, authentic and light language voice, harmonium, chimes and other sound healing instruments, always centered around a generous immersion of therapeutic gong. Participants are encouraged to lie down in savasana position to receive the sound bath, but may also choose to sit.
