Nate Parker has spent just over a decade in the private security industry. He currently works as part of the executive protection team for an off Wall Street investment bank. Prior to his current position, he was the lead instructor for the firm’s security operations and responsible for designing and implementing all training related to firearms, tactics, and use of force.He has been a certified instructor for 9 years and still maintains instructor certifications from the National Rifle Associated Law Enforcement Division for handgun, shotgun, and patrol rifle. Nate has also completed the Rangemaster Instructor Development Course.In addition to about 100 hours of instructor development training, Nate has several hundred hours of formal firearms training. He has trained with a nationally ranked competitive shooter and former lead firearms instructor for the FAMS, Mike Seeklander. He has also trained with long time SWAT operators with local law enforcement agencies.Nate is a performance driven and technically adept shooter and carries that same style into his instructing. His passion is teaching, and passing on the knowledge and skill that he has acquired over years. He maintains That Shotgun Blog and regularly contributes to other firearms related blogs in an effort to spread good information to the firearms community at large.
