Join us to send postcards to parliament, share soup and bread, and watch The Doctor's Wife, an inspiring documentary about a cardiac surgeon and his wife who volunteered in Palestine for over 20 years.
Bring a koha if you can. Proceeds go towards heart surgery for Palestinian children, the filmmakers and to keep rolling out this heartfelt documentary.
We are lucky to have folks from the Green Party and Te Pāti Māori who will be speaking about how we can take action.
We will have postcards for you to send to our MPs, PM Chris Luxon and Minister Peters in support of Chlöe Swarbrick’s Unlawful Occupation of Palestine Sanctions Bill.
Who’s putting on this event?
We are a crew of Paekākāriki friends who cannot stand by while Palestinians continue to subjected to endless atrocities in flagrant violation of their most fundamental rights.
Our postcards will remind MPs that It is our legal and moral obligation to impose sanctions on Israel.
We will be asking that MPs
1. Indicate their support for the Members’ Bill so that it bypasses the ballot process.
2. Encourage their caucus colleagues to support the Bill.
3. Vote for the Bill at all stages through to enactment.
