Have you ever wondered about an email or text that pops up on your phone? What about if you’re on social media, and you see a very tempting offer? Do you wonder if it’s REAL? How do you know what to believe?
We want to help you feel more confident in your interactions in these types of situations. At our FREE event, we will show you how to recognize and avoid common scams that are being attempted through email, text messages, social media, and even over the phone. You will hear about how this problem has affected people in your own community! We will also have real estate experts speak on common fraud issues you can watch out for when buying and selling property.
After the presentation, volunteers will be on hand to help you with security questions and concerns.
While our presentation is tailored for older adults, anyone seeking guidance on how to protect themselves from digital and phone-based fraud is welcome to attend.
