You are invited to attend a public hearing about Canterbury-Bankstown Council’s proposal to rezone the Council-owned land at 75A, 75B and 75C Marco Avenue Revesby from RE1 Public Recreation Zone to R4 High Density Residential Zone.
The proposal also allows for increasing the building height and floor space controls for residential apartments to be built up to six storeys to match the adjoining R4 zoned land along Marco Avenue.
The rezoning is a decision originally made by Council in February 2009 and will implement our strategic plans, enabling increased housing close to the Revesby Local Centre.
The public hearing will be held on Wednesday 23 July 2025 from 6pm.
Please attend from 6pm to have your opportunity to speak and listen to what others have to say about the proposal.
You can register to speak at the public hearing by signing up for the event below. Each speaker will have up to 3 minutes to provide their feedback on the proposal. Please note that if you are registering to speak, your name and the key themes of your comments will be included as part of the public record of the hearing.
After considering the feedback from the public hearing, Council will then decide whether to rezone and reclassify the land so it can be used for commercial or other uses or sold and the proceeds of the sale used to fund improved community infrastructure.
If you are unable to attend the event you can provide a written submission to the hearing to our independent facilitator by email at Y29tbXVuaXR5IHwgZ3lkZSAhIGNvbSAhIGF1
