Dane Cervine’s recent books of poetry include DEEP TRAVEL – At Home in the [Burning] World (Saddle Road Press), The World Is God’s Language (Sixteen Rivers Press), Earth Is a Fickle Dancer (Main Street Rag), and The Gateless Gate – Polishing the Moon Sword (Saddle Road Press). Cervine’s poems have won awards from Adrienne Rich, Tony Hoagland, the Atlanta Review, Caesura, and have been nominated for multiple Pushcarts. His work has appeared in The SUN, The Hudson Review, TriQuarterly, Poetry Flash, Catamaran, Miramar, Rattle, Sycamore Review, and Pedestal Magazine, among others. Cervine lives in Santa Cruz. Ayaz Pirani’s books include Happy You Are Here, Kabir’s Jacket Has a Thousand Pockets, and How Beautiful People Are. A short story collection, Death to America, is forthcoming from The Porcupine’s Quill. Pirani’s work has been reviewed in The Globe and Mail and Toronto Star, and has appeared in such journals as ARC Poetry Magazine, The Antigonish Review, The Malahat Review, and Guest 16. Pirani was born in Tanzania, and studied Humanities in Toronto, Montreal, and at the Vermont College of Fine Arts. He lives near the Monterey Bay.
