Abstract figure drawing workshop of LIVE DANCE MODELS, instructed by Japanese visual artist, Yumiko Glover! "Explore the connection between movement and visual expression using the vibrant colors of soft pastels. Learn the technique of abstract drawing while observing dancers dancers move to slow, still, stiff, fluid, and powerful movement qualities. Dancers will engage through stages of expression in lines, shapes, colors, and various rhythms. As they tune both the observed performance and their own bodily responses to music, participating dancers will translate these experiences into visual form. The workshop culminates in a final artwork that weaves together all aspects of the exercises into one bold and expressive composition".
