Voices Underground is honored to partner with the Oxford Area Historical Association to present Allies in Abolition, a family friendly Black History Month program rooted in truth telling, community learning, and shared responsibility.
Designed to engage participants of all ages, the program will feature a Hosanna Church historical display, lantern and quilt themed crafts, a child friendly film screening, a book giveaway, light refreshments, and a prize drawing. Together, these interactive and educational experiences encourage learning, reflection, and meaningful community connection.
This gathering invites neighbors to reflect on the courage of those who resisted slavery and the allies who took risks in the fight for freedom. Reminding us that justice has always been a collective effort and that the work continues when we show up together with intention.
