The Calvert Concept Charitable Corporation, also known as “C4”, is a public 501(c)(3) charity with the purpose of assisting public servants (teachers, librarians, health workers, county employees, etc.) and descendants of enslaved people of Calvert County, as well as similarly situated Native Americans of our County, who can benefit from assistance achieving financial stability.
As a privately funded, no-cost program C4 provides savings-matching, financial incentives for personal progress, mentorship, and training. We don’t do this to try to change history, but to help modify the present effects of historic unfairness. These efforts include effective tools to address the cost of living in Calvert County, indebtedness, low credit scores, and less income than people may deserve.
