ANAOCHA SETS TO HOST ANAFEST 2025: EXPECTATIONS HIGH, AS TRADITION MEETS INNOVATION.
The rich cultural heritage of Anaocha will once again take centre stage as the Anaocha Cultural and Festival Organization (ANAFEST) gears up for the grand Celebration of *ANAFEST 2025, scheduled to hold on the *17th and 18th of October, 2025.
This year’s theme, *“Culture Meets Innovation: Preserving Our Roots, Shaping Our Future,”* highlights a renewed commitment to honouring cultural traditions while embracing modernity. The two-day festival promises a colourful display of Anaocha cultural expressions, bringing together communities, traditional institutions, and creative talents in an atmosphere of unity, celebration, and pride.
Key highlights of ANAFEST 2025 include:
Anaocha Got Talents – Showcasing local talent across music, arts, and performance.
Masquerade and Cultural Dance Groups – Featuring traditional troupes from various communities.
Iwa Ji (New Yam Festival) by Traditional Rulers – Performed in reverence to Igbo tradition.
Award Presentations and Conferment of Chieftaincy Titles – Honouring distinguished sons and daughters of Anaocha.
The event will commence at 9:00 AM daily at the Anaocha Local Government Secretariat, Neni, with Hon. Rome Ibekwe, Mayor of Anaocha LGA, as host. Leading the organizing committee are High Chief Innocent Chikezie, Chairman and Mr. Ewenike Peter Ifeanyi, Secretary.
ANAFEST 2025 is not just a celebration of tradition, it is a rallying call for cultural renaissance and innovation in community building.
