Protecting Our Seniors from Neglect, Abuse, and Exploitation

The Senior Community Center of Owensboro-Daviess County is hosting an informational program for seniors and caregivers to address issues of elder abuse, neglect and exploitation. The free program begins at 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 7, at the Senior Community Center, 1650 W. Second St. and is open to the community. Seniors, their family members and caregivers are invited to attend. Deborah Middleton, representing Adult Protective Services, will provide information about recognizing and reporting elder abuse and situations/conditions of concern. Representatives from the Daviess County Sheriff's Office will share insights regarding the investigation process when concerns are reported. ADVANCE REGISTRATION IS NOT REQUIRED FOR THIS IMPORTANT PROGRAM, which is open to ALL SENIORS, their FAMILY MEMBERS and CAREGIVERS.
