Seminole HEART Disaster Mental Health Workshop

Seminole HEART, in coordination with The American Red Cross, will be hosting a disaster mental health workshop. Join us to discuss the impacts that disasters have on your mental health and on others, from experienced members in the disaster phycology field. This is completely free event for all our local volunteers and CERT team members. This is a great opportunity to get prepared right before peak hurricane season.

Participants can expect to learn the following:

• Learn to recognize signs of stress in those affected by a disaster
• Learn the steps of psychological first aid and how to offer comfort to the residents you are helping
• Become a more effective disaster helper.
• Learn how to take better care of yourself while you are responding in the community

The Seminole HEART Disaster Mental Health Workshop is completely free event for all our local volunteers and CERT team members. This is a great opportunity to get prepared right before peak hurricane season.
