What lies beneath?
Following the great success of our event in Autumn 2024, Sirius Drilling is hosting a unique interactive experience at the National Coal Mining Museum, Wakefield.
We have 3 sessions, with free tickets on a first come first served basis.
Session 1: 09:30 - 12:45 (Tea, coffee & pastries)
Session 2: 11:00 - 14:15 (Snacks provided)
Session 3: 12.30 - 15:45 (Please come fed, tea, coffee & biscuits provided)
Come join us for a unique coal mine tour and interactive session at the National Coal Mining Museum for England. Get ready to head 140m below the surface as we venture down the public can't access drift shaft, and learn about the history and geology behind it and how to deal with the problems that may arise on your own sites. These sessions promise an engaging experience that you won't want to miss!
Warm clothing and safety footwear is essential.
The Museum is on the main road between Wakefield and Huddersfield (WF4 4RH). There is ample car parking including disabled parking spaces. Parking is free though donations are appreciated.

Bus services run within easy walking distance of the Museum. From Wakefield Bus Station or Huddersfield Bus Stations, the Arriva 232 bus stops at the Reindeer pub with a few minutes walk to the Museum.
