Fly, gallop, or hop into the library these school holidays and join local author Erin Willson for a fun animal activity. We are squawking with excitement!

This fun, hands-on experience gets kids thinking about how animals survive the cold—both here in Aotearoa and overseas!

🌿 Hibernation vs. Active – Do animals in NZ hibernate like bears in the USA? Kids will discover the surprising differences through games and role-play!
🐿️ Squirrel vs. Kea Challenge – Can they gather enough “food” to survive the winter like a squirrel, or will they be crafty foragers like a kea?
