Manu Wairere: Street Dance Foundations with Shifting Centre

Manu Wairere is a school holiday programme at the Māoriland Hub in Ōtaki, designed to ignite the creative potential of tamariki and rangatahi Māori aged 5–18.

Rangatahi are invited to join Shifting Centre, a Wellington-based artist collective, for a 3-day Street Dance Foundations Workshop.

Participants will explore the foundations of street dance through cypher and Talanoa, building confidence, creativity, and connection.

The workshop will conclude with a performance for whānau and friends.

Dates: Mon 29 Sept – Wed 1 Oct

Time: 9:30am – 4:00pm

Ages: Pīrere (9–18 years)

Venue: Māoriland Hub, Ōtaki

Cost: $20 entry fee

Note: Spaces are limited. Attendance all 3 days is required.
