About the event

A Conversation with Harry Walker

We are delighted to welcome Harry Walker, author of A Voice for the Silenced: Stories from inside and outside the cells of Aotearoa/New Zealand, in conversation about his ground-breaking work.

This book has given voice to the incarcerated in a collection of stories giving voice to the struggles, resilience, ongoing effects of trauma, and of disconnection experienced by marginalised people.

Harry Walker has a social work background, he's a former Māori Welfare Officer, National Office policy advisor, and Cultural Report writer.
