That’s (Not) All She Wrote IV

From Friday, July 25 through Sunday, July 27, Westchester Collaborative Theater (WCT) will showcase a collection of plays and monologues written and performed by local women playwrights and WCT members in That’s (Not) All She Wrote IV- (TNASWIV). The writers will read from their own work in a specially created Open-Mic setting at the It’s Never Too Latte coffee house with audiences seated around the space cabaret-style to provide a more immersive experience. The festival continues the highly acclaimed events that launched in 2022. WCT writer/actor/director Carol Mark of Ridgefield, CT, is directing the production and WCT writer/actor/ director/producer Lori Myers of Nanuet will reprise her role as executive producer. Allison Schneider (New City) is the stage manager, Kim Chandler (New Rochelle) is sound operator, Suzahn Fiering (Pleasantville) is house musician.

Lori Myers, a member of Honor Roll!, a grass-roots group of women+ playwrights over 40, and Dramatists Guild, says,” Have you ever gone to a coffee house and watched a writer stare at their screen so deep in thought that their coffee's getting cold? We're recreating that vibe in this production's fourth rendition at WCT. The show will reveal what is on that laptop and in the hearts and minds of women writers. Now more than ever, it's crucial to hear their voices.”

That’s (Not) All She Wrote IV will be performed at the WCT Theater at 23 Water Street, Ossining on Friday, July 25 at 8 pm; Saturday, July 26 at 2 and 8 pm; Sunday, July 27 at 3 pm. The Midnight Stage by MC De la Cruz (Highland Mills): Told to shrink, she chose to blaze—tearing off the mask, defying the mold, and building a stage where the unheard don’t just speak… they roar.

Bunny by Joni Fritz (Peekskill): A commercial gig turns surreal, sweaty, and strangely profound.

Rosie by Carol Mark (Ridgefield, CT): Who knew that on one random hot summer night, on the edge of Harlem in a quiet blues bar…. you would find redemption.

The Girl by Gretchen Metzloff (Ossining): A woman’s journey is fraught with obstacles but nevertheless, she persisted.

Doris on the Wagon by Bette Siler (Nyack): Does funny little DORIS go to AA for the bear claws, the cute guys or because she couldn't possibly be more alone?
