LGBTQ+ and Allies Faith Sharing Session, with Lynn Discenza

The Center at Mariandale invites participants to join its monthly “LGBTQ and Allies Faith-Sharing” group which meets the third Thursday of every month from 7pm to 8pm online. This gathering provides space for those who identify as LGBTQ and/or allies to share their stories, learn from others and provide support for those who struggle with faith.

Open to people of all faith traditions, this group recognizes that many LGBTQ+ adults experience a lack of faith-based, pastoral settings where they are welcomed to share their stories in honest and open ways. These 90-minute sessions provide such an opportunity for prayer, dialogue, and community-building.

There is no charge for participation, but those who register are invited to make a free will offering.

Lynn Discenza is a Catholic trans woman blessed to be able to be part of a welcoming parish where she is a Eucharistic minister, Sacristan and co-leader of their OpenHearts LGBTQ+ ministry, as well as a vocal advocate for the greater LGBTQ+ community.
