Ossian Rotary will welcome Wells County Recorder Rina Stuck on Thursday morning September 11th at 7:30 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Ossian at 1001 Dehner Drive. She will discuss the functions of the County Recorder’s office, along with property fraud awareness and the programs the Wells County Recorder’s Office offers to help prevent property fraud.
A graduate of Bellmont High School, Rina grew up in Decatur and moved to Wells County in 1990. She attended Vincennes University, majoring in broadcasting, spending 20 years working in the radio industry, mostly in Bluffton at WNUY Y-100.
Stuck’s journey in the Wells County Recorder’s office began in the spring of 2003 as Deputy Recorder. In 2008 she was elected the Wells County Recorder. In 2013 she received the Indiana Recorders Association Outstanding Recorder Award after serving as the association education chair. In 2014-2016 she served as Indiana Recorders’ Association Vice President and member of the Legislation Committee when she received the Association of Indiana Counties Recorder of the Year in 2015. In January 2025, Stuck was elected Wells County Recorder and currently serves on the Association of Indiana Counties Board representing Northeast Indiana as the District Vice President along with recently being appointed to the Indiana Recorders’ Association Education Committee.
Locally Rina serves on the Bluffton Street Fair Board of Directors along with being a member of the Friends of the Shelter. Public and Community Service is a significant part of her life, being able to give back not only to her community but to others as well.
