Swans til Oslo, Vulkan Arena, Vulkan Arena den 19. november 2025!
Swans er et eksperimentelt rockeband grunnlagt av Michael Gira i 1982. Bandet oppsto i no wave-miljøet i New York, og har gjennom en rekke ulike besetninger vært med på å forme sjangre som noise rock, post-punk, industriell musikk, post-rock og flere andre uttrykk innen alternativ rock.
I 2025 markerer de sitt 17. studioalbum med utgivelsen av Birthing, som slippes 30. mai via Mute og Young God Records. Albumet er resultatet av en årslang turné i 2023-2024, hvor låtene ble utviklet live før de ble raffinert i studio. Michael Gira omtaler Birthing som sitt siste verk innenfor Swans’ karakteristisk altomfattende lydlandskap, og antyder en mer nedstrippet retning fremover.
Swans kommer til Norge for å spille på Vulkan Arena i Oslo den 19. november 2025, hvor de vil fremføre materiale fra det nye albumet. Dette blir en unik mulighet til å oppleve bandets monumentale og intense liveshow.

Swans are an experimental rock band formed by Michael Gira in 1982. Emerging from New York’s no wave scene, the band has, through numerous lineup changes, played a pivotal role in shaping genres such as noise rock, post-punk, industrial music, post-rock, and other expressions of alternative rock.
In 2025, they will release their 17th studio album, Birthing, on May 30 via Mute and Young God Records.
The album is the culmination of a yearlong Swans tour during 2023 – 2024, during which the songs were developed live before being refined in the studio.
Swans will perform in Norway at Vulkan Arena in Oslo on November 19, 2025, showcasing material from their new album. This is a rare chance to witness the band’s monumental and intense live performance up close.
