Student Movie Night: "To Sir with Love"

Over the upcoming months, the Outreach Committee will host a series of free film screenings in Hanson Hall. Snacks will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis and, each film will be followed by in-depth discussions.
Starting at 6pm on certain Fridays, the target audience for these classic film nights include Oslo’s international student community as well as members of the ALC congregation. Compared to other Friday evening options, this is a low-pressure way to meet new people and create a sense of belonging.
Furthermore, the film-discussion format sharpens critical thinking and cultural appreciation. These classic films explore themes of family, friendship, faith, love and even dating!
Some examples include:
To Sir, With Love – Who shaped you more, your teachers or your friends?
The Grapes of Wrath – Who is left behind when economies collapse?
Ben-Hur – Chariots, vengeance, and redemption on the biggest scale possible!
