Discussion with Solidarity Collectives! Engage in a presentation and Q&A session featuring activists from an anti-authoritarian volunteer network from Ukraine.
Solidarity Collectives is a group of Ukrainian anarchists that built on anti-authoritarian anti-colonial ideas actively resist imperialist aggression, while providing support to the fighters at the front and helping those affected by the Russian invasion since 2022.
These two lines of work outlined the core of Solidarity Collectives’ activities, which have stayed firm to this day. Consistency in cooperation brings its fruits: it made it possible to add animal aid to the humanitarian working group agenda, supplying vegan rations to fighters and redistributing new volunteers to the brigades closer aligned with their beliefs, as well as pushing for renewable energy to reduce fuel dependency.
In the fourth year of the full-scale invasion, even among the comrades internationally, there are still many questions mingling, from the absurd and short-sighted to legitimate and insightful for the movement. Why do anarchists join the army? Can it still be consistent with the anti-authoritarian beliefs? Is Ukraine still living under the terror of russian imperialist attacks? And can occupation be called “a peace agreement”?
An activist from the Solidarity Collective and ABC Kyiv ( the collective supporting political prisoners and ppl facing repressions), who was working on support for Russian and Belarusian refugees (in person) and an anti-authoritarian fighter from Ukraine (online) will share on the first-hand experience about their struggle against colonial imperialist policies and invasion, their work to support fighters and bringing humanitarian aid to the areas near the frontline.
You'll have the chance to buy merchandise and make donations to support anti-authoritarian fighters in Ukraine.
