Hva:
I snart to måneder har aksjonister i Repparfjord stanset anleggsarbeidet med å sprenge prøvetunnel/inngang til gruva til Nussir ASA. Nå samles alle vi som ikke har mulighet til å reise nordover til støttemarkering i Oslo, for å støtte opp om aksjonistene og saken.
Bakgrunn:
Nylig vant Natur og Ungdom og Naturvernforbundet en historisk seier i Fjordsøksmålet i lagmannsretten. Retten slår fast at utslippstillatelsene som ble gitt til Nordic Mining om å dumpe giftig avfall i Førdefjorden er ugyldige. Det samme burde gjelde for de ugyldige tillatelsene til Nussir ASA!
Gruveprosjektet vil ha katastrofale konsekvenser. Avfallet fra gruva skal dumpes i Repparfjorden. En nasjonal laksefjord bør ikke være en avfallsplass for giftig gruveavfall. Gruva vil også ødelegge viktige fjellområder, som brukes av reindrifta i distrikt 22 (Fiettar), et allerede veldig pressa reinbeitedistrikt.
Arbeidet som stanses med sivil ulydighet er gruveselskapet Nussir ASA sin undersøkelsestunell. Det er essensielt å stanse sprengingen av denne. Vi må både unngå irreversible inngrep i fjellet og synliggjøre ovenfor investorer hvor ille prosjektet er.

For nearly two months, activists in Repparfjord has stopped the excavation of a preparatory tunnel/entrance to Nussir ASAs mine. Now everybody who doesn´t have the possibility to travel north will gather for a demonstration in Oslo, to support the activists and the case.
The mining project will have catastrophic consequences. The mining waste is planned to be dumped in Repparfjord. A national salmon fjord should not be a dumping site for toxic waste. The mine will also ruin important mountain areas which are used by reindeer herding district 22 (Fiettar), an already very pressed district.
The work that is stopped with civil disobedience is the mining company Nussir Asas exploration tunnel. It's essential to stop this. We have to stop irreversible damage to the mountain, and to make it visible to investors how horrible this project is.
