Orlando (1992)

Based on the Virginia Woolf classic, Orlando is a subversive cinematic masterpiece. The film follows semi-immortal Orlando (Tilda Swinton) through over 400 years of love and loss, all while her sex changes throughout the centuries.

After Queen Elizabeth I’s demand that he should never grow old Orlando walks through life as a diplomat, poet and lady of high society with court cases. Through Sally Potter's direction this film hypnotizes with cinematography and story while providing a new perspective on a beloved and iconic piece in queer artistic history.
