Marcus André Berg er, fra 2025, ledende domkantor i Oslo domkirke etter ti års virke som domkantor.
Han holder jevnlig solokonserter i Oslo domkirke, med et bredt og engasjerende repertoar som inkluderer improvisasjon.
Han har også samarbeidet med mange kor, ensembler og musikere. Blant annet med Vor Frelsers kirkekor i København, og deres oppsetninger av Lars Sømods rekviem "En sang om tab og tro", med "Odysse" av Berg og Trond Kallevåg, og bidrag med orgeltoner på Martin Horntvedts Gouldian Finch-album "Hatch".
Marcus har også komponert musikk til både gudstjenester og konserter. Spesielt nevnes "Stabat Mater" og "Messe i C" for tenor og orgel.
Han har sittet i styret for Oslo orgelfestival siden dens begynnelse, og er fra 2025 leder for festivalen.

From 2025, Marcus André Berg serves as Chief Cathedral Cantor at Oslo Cathedral following ten years in the position of Cathedral Cantor. He regularly gives solo performances at Oslo Cathedral, presenting a broad and engaging repertoire that includes improvisation.
Marcus has collaborated with numerous choirs, ensembles, and musicians. Notably with the Choir of the Church of Our Saviour in Copenhagen, in their productions of Lars Sømod’s requiem “A Song of Loss and Faith”, with “Odysse” by Berg and Trond Kallevåg, and contributing organ textures to Martin Horntvedt’s Gouldian Finch album “Hatch.”
He has also composed music for both worship services and concerts—including works such as “Stabat Mater” and “Mass in C” for tenor and organ.
Marcus has served on the board of the Oslo Organ Festival since its beginning, and from 2025 he will be the festival’s director.
