What you go through, you will grow through.
"Does rucking make the hard stuff go away?"
No, but it reminds you that you can carry more than you think.
This Saturday (and the next ones) we would like for you to join us on our weekly community ruck in Oslo 💫 We meet at 12 PM / 12:00, outside Oslo S/Central Station, track 18. 😎
Rucking is walking with a backpack with weight in it as a focused activity and with intention.
"Okay, but whats the point, why should I do it?" Well, beyond how it builds your capacity to face everyday life challenges and mitigates injuries too? Beyond finding resources inside yourself that you forgot you had?
💥 "Why?"
If you go rucking with us, you will actually make your body more resilient. Really, it's true. This is because you will be putting your body through manageable amounts of stress. Your body works to handle this stress of physical exercise, and then it will return back to normal. In all essence, it will be practicing how to deal with stress.
💢 Bonus? You will be doing it in amazing, supportive company who are there for mucj the same reasons!
So, when stress, challenges and burdens show up in your life (which it inevitably will), you will be more ready and able to handle it. All you have to do? Come hang out with us for a couple of hours. Besides, after having done this physical activity, you'll be glad for it. Just like after having gone to the gym, but better since you've actually been outdoors. ☀️
✴️ Whether you’re a fitness enthusiast or someone who hasn’t been active in a while, you’re welcome here. This event is all about having fun, carrying things, connecting with others, and enjoying/enduring some adversity together. I promise to make you laugh. Or, wait, I only promise to make myself laugh and hope for a domino effect! 😄
📍 Where to Meet:
We meet outside Oslo Central Station at the beginning of train track 18—right outside Espresso House. Look for a black backpack with a blinking red light, a red backpack or someone with a red T-shirt.
🏞️ Our Route:
We’ll start at Oslo Central Station and head out for a 5-10km walk (i.e. to Vigelandsparken and the iconic Monolith, or up Akerselva). Some days, we even have themed walks such as a Scavenger hunt for grafitti and wall-art.
Need to stop earlier than 1500? No problem! Tell us at the start and we can plan around it. You can finish at any point and will always be welcome to join again next time. We have no expectations of anyone showing up again after their first time, which makes it a happy surprise every time someone does! 😄
🎒 What to Bring:
- Comfortable shoes and a water bottle.
- A rucksack (backpack) or weight vest (optional).
- Add some weight (e.g., 5 - 15kg ) if you can handle it. You can use whatever you have at hand, such as bottles of water, books, bricks, or steel plates—whatever feels right for you.
💪 Don’t have weight but want to try it? Let us know, and we can bring something extra. 😉
💰 This event is free and open to everyone—so grab a friend, bring your family, or come solo! Kids are welcome too. Health is wealth.
🏅Psst! Theres also a reward system for showing up / attending - you can actually receive merch!👀 You even get something for showing up just once! 😎
Connect with your community and be part of making this a new Oslo tradition 🤩 We can’t wait to meet you! 💫 Drop a comment below or send us a DM on FB or IG if you have any questions.💬
Feel free to share this with someone you think would try this out! ✨️
