Mind the Body!
This two-day masterclass with Martin Hasselgren from the dynamic dance company TuBO & Co will lead you in an exploration of physical acting training for performers.
TuBO & Co with their performance ODD is a dynamic dance company that melds elements of dance, physical acting and over the top props to create a performance that is both hilarious and full of depth.
In this two-day masterclass Martin will take the participants through exercises, improvisation, and short études in which you'll explore energy, will, feelings, direction, force and counterpoing. Embody thought and discover comedy, strength, and beauty!
Martin Hasselgren is a performer, director of movement-based performing arts, and a theatre teacher with ten years of experience. He has a background in dance and has studied mime, directing, and dramaturgy at Uniarts in Stockholm.
This masterclass promises to be a great introduction to the work of this exciting and new company and to explore your own practice in a vibrant and free space!
The masterclass is part of the International Norwegian ASSITEJ Festival titled "Are You Kidding Me?" exploring humour in performing arts for young audiences. The festival is arranged by ASSITEJ Norway in collaboration with Riksteatret between 6-10th of May 2025.
TuBO & Co will present their performance ODD as part of the artistic program and with a festival pass you can watch all the performances and then learn from the masters themselves.
