What does music consumption and engagement look like today? And what really drives music forward? Algorithms, community, or economy? Where does artistic freedom fit in? We have invited voices from Oslo’s music scene for a panel talk to discuss these questions.
Join this open space for questions, critique, and fresh perspectives.
@ MUNCH Tuesday, October 7, from 18:30.
Introducing the panel:
Morstaq is an Oslo-based DJ and artist. She has performed at several festivals and stages throughout the country and opened for artists including Regal86, DJ LAG, Chrystallmess, Conducta, and Omagoqa. Cute yet unpredictable, her sets embrace a “we listen, we don’t judge” ethos—creating a club space where boundaries dissolve and the music is not just heard but felt. A key figure in the tastemaking collective NARA (Nordic Afro Rave Association).
Ali Omar is co-founder of Spekter and manager at Nora Collective. He has been instrumental in developing some of the most exciting new voices in Norwegian music, such as Bargee, Makosir, Malik, and Natnael. He also oversees Nora Collective’s producer roster, featuring Axxe, Filip Kollsete, and Andreas Bache-Wiig to mention some.
Nora Mamdu is a DJ, club organizer and cultural practitioner with over a decade of experience in the music industry, both on stage and behind the scenes. She has worked as an A&R at Universal Music, booking consultant for Øyafestivalen, and as a radio host at NRK. She is the founder of NARA creating authentic spaces and opportunities for underrepresented music, club, and cultural expressions—while linking Oslo’s community to broader international networks.
Tobias Lisø is a 22-year-old A&R and co-owner of Gladstone Music Group. He has contributed to nearly 50 charting songs, including eight #1 hits. He has also been running his own label, Liso Records, for three years, and has played a role in the success of artists including Ballinciaga, Stig Brenner, Arif, Roc Boys, Astrid S, Ylva, Soppgirobygget, and more.
Moderating the conversation we have Nora Pagu. Oslo-based sommelier, economist and DJ with roots in Bergen and Bodø. She serves as a board member of Oslo World, contributing to one of Norway’s leading platforms for global music and culture. Nora is also a part of NARA. No
